You may have noticed that my Diary Comics may appear on the deviant art more sporadically than on the blog. This is because while I do not mind posting ,y work up here as soon as it is fit for publication, I have a weekly publishing schedule on the blog (so keep an eye on my deviant art for sneaky previews of the next few comics to pop up. When my web site is launched, I will [probably keep the DC's on the blog only, and use deviant art for other words (and signposting to the blog.) Big love x PS: Did I mention the blog? :P

Improving my comic technique has been my main focus since the beginning of summer, and while I have half an hour spare before I head for bed, I think now is a fabulous time to go into some detail about the thought process behind my diary comics, explain some of the things I am trying with them, and why I think they are important. University is taking an undeserved and probably unwise back burner at the moment. I've had some difficult family stuff to deal with recently, I've also been looking into restarting my self-employment as a means to make a little extra cash, and of course I have been reading, writing and studying comics and illustrati

For those who don't know, for just over a month I've really been hammering my art to see how much I can improve before Uni starts up again. I know that I can manage a decent looking comic, and in this past month I have learned a lot about technique, industry etiquette and standardisation. Of course, one has never fully learned everything. There are many improvements to be made before I am truly proud to stand with the other cartoonists listed to the right and hold my head as high as they so rightly deserve to.
